This is little Jean, the way French artist Genevieve Gauckler made him. Thanks to the generous support of his personal sponsor, German actress Luise Helm, and the hard work of the Orphanage scientists Sayyora Muinova, Lisa Kentner and Marie Gerstenberger, little Jean was shaken up in a test tube and is waiting to finally make it out into the 3rd dimension. We're all keeping our fingers crossed...

Little Jean is one of the first characters to hatch successfully. After several precarious days in the incubator the entire Orphanage team is greatly relieved that mother nature decided to give him a chance. And we're all hugely confident that he'll make the most of it!
Two days later Jean is still a little wobbly on his pins. But he's a real fighter! And besides - he's in good hands for the time being.

Today we took Jean out for his first few steps in the real world. The park outside the PictoOrphanage is new territory to him and we were afraid he might find it hard to cope, so we decided to take it easy. He looked a little lost at first, but he's growing so fast.
