Motomichi Nakamura (JP/USA)

Motomichi Nakamura was born in Tokyo, Japan and graduated from Parsons School of Design, New York. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn. Minimum use of color (black, white and red) as well as a focus on the creation of characters and creatures using simple graphic elements characterizes Motomichi's work across digital and traditional media. The subjects in his work often reflect a conflictive nature, being part human and part monsters. His digital animation work has been exhibited at the New Museum of Contemporary Art and has appeared in the Sundance and the Onedotzero film festivals.
