Fons Schiedon (NL)

With an illustration background, Fons Schiedon is known for an explosive colorful style in design and animation. His collage-like motion graphics for the documentary SNEAKERS drew the attention of clients like MTV – who commissioned a series of idents for Nickelodeon. The resulting clips were inhabited by his typical happy-heavy pandabears and ponies with a digestive problem. The follow-up karaoke frenzy for MTV Asia was the first animated stage appearance for his shape-and-personality shifting creation ‘Monkey’. Strangely enough, in contrast to their hysterical look, none of his figures and creatures seems entirely happy. Fons has recently finished directing his first 24 episode TV series, that is soon to be broadcast throughout Europe.
