David O'Reilly (Ireland)


David OReilly is a young director working in the field of animation. His first job was with the famed animation collective Shynola, notably being the only person they had ever hired from outside. His talent was quickly recognized and, while still a teenager, he joined the ranks at London production company Colonel Blimp.

He has since made a concerted effort towards innovation though his many short films, experimental animations and music videos, shunning the typical commercial avenue and preferring to work outside the bubble. He has been singled out by both RES and Creative Review as talent to watch, and in 2006 was featured in the New Directors Showcase at Cannes. He currently lives and works in Berlin.
