For your orientation, the character walk will take place in the eastern part of Berlin, the districts Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. The conference itself is locatad in the western part, less than a 15 minutes walk from the station Bahnhof Zoo or 5 minutes from the U-Bahn Spichernstrasse.
We have put up a lists of hotels and hostels, moving from east to west. So, the closer you want to get to the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, the further down you have to look. However, Berlin isn't a divided city anymore and the S-Bahn connects both parts Berlin in the fastest and most convenient way over ground - you will get a nice city tour. A few houses offer a special rate or reserved rooms. They are marked with a star* - ask for "pictoplasma".
